Defrag the hard drive

The other program we are going to present to you is to perform the defrag on the hard drive. Defragmentation is a physical rearrangement of the scattered fragments of information on the disk. This action will in no way affect the arrangement and location of your files and folders. Defragmentation is used only and only on electromechanical disks, increasing their speed and extending their life. Defragment is not performed on disks of the type SSD, as they have no mechanical elements and the files are structured differently.
The application we will use for this purpose is called Defraggler.

Working with this program is just as easy as with CCleaner.
First you select which of the two hard disk partitions you want to defragment, you can select both at the same time.
Then you press the button "defragmentation” and you wait.
It is very important that after the program starts working, you do not perform any actions on the computer.

You can see the physical status of the disk from the window health, as shown in the picture below if it says so good, so everything is fine and there is no irreversible damage to it. The main parameter that indicates that there are so-called bad sectors (Bad Sectors) is the field Reallocated Sector Counts. If the value there is anything other than 0, you will need to proceed with backing up your data and replacing the drive.

Software cleanup will keep your computer performing well and running smoothly. Defragmenting will greatly improve the speed and extend the life of the hard drive.
